The Manduka X is $72 and the PRO Travel is $74, which makes this the closest matchup in Manduka’s range on price and one of the widest on purpose. Both are 71″ × 24″, both are closed-cell, and both are light. Everything after that diverges.

The X is a 5 mm TPE mat built for gym work as much as yoga, with the same texture on both faces. The PRO Travel is 2 mm of the dense German PVC used in the full-size PRO, folded flat for luggage and carrying the PRO line’s lifetime guarantee.

This is the practical gap. The X gives you real padding: enough for kneeling work, plank sequences and the burpees Manduka clearly had in mind, and TPE has a softer, more forgiving feel underfoot than dense PVC at the same thickness.
