Manduka eKO Superlite Long vs PRO Travel: Which One Should You Buy?

The eKO Superlite Long measures 79 by 24 inches, is 1.5 mm thick, and weighs 2.5 pounds. The standard PRO Travel is 71 by 24 inches, 2 mm thick, and 2.9 pounds. Both fold into luggage, but the extra eight inches make the eKO the easier fit for tall travelers.

Material separates them just as clearly. The eKO uses textured natural rubber that grips immediately. The PRO Travel uses dense German PVC with a smoother surface that improves through regular use. Buy around body length first, then decide whether immediate rubber traction or long-term PVC durability matters more.

At 79 inches, the Superlite Long keeps most six-foot-plus bodies on the mat during savasana and creates useful space for long lunges. The standard PRO Travel can leave a head or heel on the floor. Both retain the conventional 24-inch width, so neither is a wide mat.

Thin natural rubber can puncture, abrade, or stretch when used on rough surfaces. Manduka gives the eKO line its standard 30-day return period but no long-term warranty. Careful floor inspection and gentle storage matter once that return window closes.

Dense PVC generally handles repeated folding and years of travel better. Frequent travelers who fit 71 inches may find that coverage worth the extra cost and slightly higher packed weight.
