Jade Voyager vs Manduka PRO Travel: Which One Should You Buy?

Jade writes a one-year warranty against defects and premature wear, with sun damage and harsh cleaners excluded, and thin open-cell rubber does wear: it softens and sheds at the contact points, faster with sweat and frequent use. The catch is allergies: Jade describes its mats as 99% latex free rather than latex free, so the Voyager is not safe if you react to latex. New rubber also smells for a week or two.

The PRO Travel is PVC certified OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which addresses what is in the material rather than what happens to it afterwards. It is latex-free, and its closed-cell surface wipes clean in seconds, which is a real advantage on a shared or dubious floor.

Get the Voyager if packed size and instant grip matter most. It is the lightest, smallest, cheapest option here, it works the moment you unfold it, and its tacky rubber is the surface most travelers miss when they switch away from Jade. Accept that it is a thin mat with a one-year warranty that Jade itself says is not built for daily practice.
