Retrospec Solana 1"

The Retrospec Solana 1" packs a full inch of high-density NBR foam, which puts it in the plush-cushion category alongside the Amazon Basics 1 Inch rather than among traditional sticky mats. At 72 by 24 inches and about 4 pounds, it's roomy for the price and ships with a nylon carrying strap, and the ribbed surface gives it some texture for floor work. That much foam compresses underfoot, so it suits stretching, Pilates and joint-friendly floor exercise better than balance-heavy standing sequences.

Yoga Design Lab Infinity 5mm

The Yoga Design Lab Infinity 5mm combines an absorbent polyurethane top with a natural-rubber base for strong wet or dry grip and more joint cushioning than the 3mm version. Its printed 71 by 24-inch surface suits hot yoga, Pilates, and home workouts, but the 6.2-pound weight is substantial for regular commuting. The porous top can stain from lotions and oils and must air-dry completely before being rolled with the printed side out.
